Hazlewoods extend stand sponsorship at Whaddon Road

9 July 2015

Hazlewoods have continued their support of Cheltenham Town by extending their sponsorship of the Whaddon Road End of the ground for another year.

The business was founded in 1925 by Marcus Hazlewood and has since become well established in the UK's top 40 independent chartered acountants and business advisers.

With 250 staff in three offices across Gloucestershire, Hazlewoods are proud to be a strong regional practice with both a national and international reach.  Many of their specialists have a UK wide reputation.

Robins chairman Paul Baker said: "Hazlewoods have been brilliant sponsors for us and as our accountants and auditors they've helped keep us on the straight and narrow, which is sometimes a challenge!

"We are delighted to have them onboard as a reallly good local company employing hundreds of people.

"It's a great relationship for us and we are delighted local companies are continuing to support the club in a big way.

"Thank you to Hazlewoods and we look forward to working with them in the coming season."

Hazlewoods partner since 1992 David Main, who has been a season ticket holder at Whaddon Road for many years, said he was delighted to continue their association with the Robins.

"It's been a good relationship over the last five years or so and it's important that sponsors stay on side in the club's hour of need," he said.

"Everything is looking positive for the new season and we are pleased to be there again. Hazlewoods is probably the largest firm of accountants in the region and it's nice to be associated with Cheltenham Town.

"We have been the club's auditors for five years and it's been a very positive relationship."

* Cheltenham Town are in negotiations with a company over sponsorship of the stadium. We will bring you news on ctfc.com as soon as an agreement is reached.
