Robins No.1 is staying for the season
Cheltenham Town goalkeeper Dillon Phillips has today extended his loan deal with the club until 30th April next year from Championship side Charlton Athletic.
The Robins' keeper has been with us since pre-season and has started every game for Gary Johnson's side, keeping 10 clean sheets in 26 appearances and is part of the best defensive unit in the National League, conceding just 17 goals all campaign.
ctfc.com caught up exclusively with the 20 year old after everything was signed, " I'm buzzing to have got it all singed to the end of the season, I've really enjoyed my time here and like I have said all along, I wanted to stay all season.
" I'm delighted to have been given this opportunity in the side where we have a great squad of players."
This news will undoubtedly please the Robins' fans, with many of them calling for this extension for several months now.
As Dillon has said, he's greatly enjoying his time with us, but he's very focused on what needs to happen over the next five months, "No let's finish the job and get back into the football league!"
