Assistant manager

Russell Milton was named assistant to new manager Gary Johnson for Cheltenham Town's final seven matches of the season on Monday, March 30.

He had led the Robins in nine matches, taking over from Paul Buckle on Friday, February 13.

Before his involvement in the first team, Milton was working as Cheltenham's head of academy coaching, rejoining the club he served with distinction as a player in 2010.

He was initially brought to Cheltenham by Steve Cotterill in 1997, making the move from Dover Athletic and helping Cheltenham win two promotions, as well as embarking on some memorable FA Cup runs, most notably the run to round five in 2001/02.
