Young Robins Up For The Cup

A young Robins reserve side will tonight take on Bishops Cleeve at Kayte Lane in the First Round of the Gloucestershire Senior Challenge Cup (KO 19:45).
Bishops Cleeve are still searching for their first win in the Southern League Division One South and West and are bottom but Robins Manager Mark Yates will be warning his players of the challenge they face.
"These games are always tough and it couldn't have come at a better time for our young players.
"The more competitive games the better and Bishops Cleeve will be perfect opponents as they'll be fighting every inch of the way," explained the Robins Manager.
Cleeve were beaten in the final three seasons ago by Bristol City reserves and the last two cups have been won by Mangotsfield United.
"This is a great competition for the boys to have a go at. We're trying to get as many games as possible for them and this one will be a real challenge," said Yates.
