Tonight our opponents here at Whaddon Road will be Phil Brown's Southend United.The Robins will of course be looking to bounce back from defeat away at Luton Town at the weekend whilst Southend United remain in confident mood with a strong 2-0 win over Portsmouth on Saturday. The Robins have yet to be beaten at home but Southend will provide a stern test under the floodlights.
Our last encounter with Southend was here at Whaddon Road back in April and the Roots Hall outfit ran out winners with a 2-1 scoreline.
Byron Harrison gave Cheltenham Town a lead in first half injury time with a volley on the edge of the area following some good work from Jermaine McGlashan but it wasn't to last. Two goals in quick succession from Southend's Barry Corr and Kevan Hurst.
