The Robins and Morecambe played out a 0-0 draw at the Globe Arena this weekend with Cheltenham moving top.Two sides tipped for relegation and two sides fighting back against their critics. Despite no goals it was a game of excitement between two good footballing sides and ultimately a draw was a fair result.
Cheltenham Town were very much the better side in the first half coming close on a number of occasions with both Craig Braham-Barrett and John Marquis in exceptional form but Morecambe stood firm with a little help from their goalkeeper Barry Roche.
It was the hosts however that turned the screw in the second half and the Robins defence had to be at their best to deny a lively Morecambe attack led by the impressive Jack Redshaw. Mark Yates' side had their chances in the second half but it wasn't to be and both clubs took a share of the spoils.
