The former Birmingham City, Leicester City and Portsmouth striker, now best known for his regular appearances on the BBC's Football League Show, cast an expert eye over the special half term event, which was attended by 25 youngsters at Whaddon Road and Seasons training ground.
Following registration at 10am, Claridge welcomed all the guests before the parents were taken on the Robins' team bus to Gloucester Quays for a day of shopping, while their children were left in the capable hands of Cheltenham Town coaches and staff.
After watching Mark Yates and Shaun North conduct a training session with the Cheltenham Town first team, the budding footballers took were put through their own paces by Claridge and Yates, practising their skills and learning from expert coaches.
After lunch they returned to Whaddon Road for a behind-the-scenes tour of the changing rooms and a hot-shot penalty shoot-out competition.
Each child received a certificate and a goody bag, with prizes for the winners of the shooting challenge, rounded off by a group photo in front of the Jelf-sponsored main stand at Whaddon Road.
Everyone at Cheltenham Town would like to thank Steve Claridge, Mark Yates and his staff and players for making it a day to savour.
