The Football League have confirmed that Terry Gornell can be officially credited with Cheltenham Town's second goal at Cambridge United last week.
The winning goal in the 2-1 victory was originally listed as an own goal but following an appeal to the Dubious Goals Panel, the goal has been awarded to the Cheltenham striker.
Robins director and club secretary Paul Godfrey said: "We're pleased that this goal has now been officially recognised as Terry's.
"Sometimes in a crowded penalty area it is difficult for the official stats reporter to see who scored a goal and on this occasion it was wrongly listed as an own goal.
"We therefore had to submit video evidence to prove that Terry scored it and the Dubious Goals Panel have decided that was the case."
Terry Gornell therefore has four goals this season, three in the Football League and one in cup competitions.
