FA Cup tie with Dover switched to Sunday

Special prices for FA Cup second round clash with Dover

Cheltenham Town's FA Cup second round tie against Dover Athletic will be played on Sunday, December 7 at 2pm.

The game will be featured on BBC Final Score programme and for this, each club will receive £12,500.

Both clubs have agreed to charge the same prices as Dover home games. These are: £15 adults, £12 over 65 and disabled, £6 under-18s and students, FREE to Under-11s.

Robins chairman Paul Baker said: "Once again the club has carefully considered ticket prices for this match which, in terms of its potential revenue implications, is the most important match of the season so far, for both clubs.

"We felt justified in increasing prices for the visit of Swindon being a League One club and local rival. With all respect to Dover they are from a lower league and certainly not a local rival!

"We have therefore decided to heavily reduce prices for this match, to mirror the prices normally charged by Dover, this will especially benefit fans who prefer to sit rather than stand. This to some extent balances out the big reduction announced for standing prices against Wycombe.

"As a further incentive ticket holders for the Dover match are advised to retain their ticket stubs as this will give them some priority in obtaining tickets for a possible high profile third round cup tie."

Cheltenham knocked out Swindon 5-0 in the first round, while Conference club Dover disposed of League Two Morecambe.
