The match gallery from this weekend 3-2 loss at home to Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Robins lost their final match of the 2013-14 season having lost the lead twice in a 3-2 thriller at home to Dagenham & Redbridge.
It was a crazy game that was perhaps fitting for a season of so many ups and down for Cheltenham Town but at times Mark Yates' Robins simply shot themselves in the foot once two often.
The afternoon had begun so well when a wonderful Joe Hanks freekick was met by the head of Steve Elliott and his thunderous effort hit the back of the net to take the lead. The Robins were confident but in a mad moment Sido Jombati knocked a curling ball back towards his own goal catching debutant Connor Roberts off-guard and the goalkeeper was left helpless as it dropped into the back of the net. You will find few own goals more outrageous than that one.
Despite that setback Cheltenham did get themselves back in front through Matt Richards' deflected strike but once again some sloppy defending allowed Dagenham & Redbridge a way back into the game with a long cross finding Scott Doe at the back post who poked it beyond Roberts in the goal.
The Robins rarely found that spark in the second half that they had in the first 45 and they were soon punished when Adebayo Azeez pounced upon a rebound following a good save from Roberts to deny the full back Hoyte and his finish was as simple as they come.
Once again the Robins had thrown away a lead but there were positives with three locally produced players making appearances and looking far from out of place. Roll on 2014-15.
