The deadline of the early bird season ticket offer is rapidly approaching with just one day left.
Fans have until 6pm on Friday evening to pick up season tickets at early bird rates ahead of the 2014-15 season.
The deadline is fast approaching with season tickets sales now over 600 and many more supporters are expected to purchase and renew their season tickets on the final day (Friday 30th).
Both chairman Paul Baker and manager Mark Yates will be at Whaddon Road this evening making phone calls to season ticket holders yet to renew and Paul hopes that fans can back the club this summer with plenty of perks and benefits attached to the season ticket package.
"I cannot stress enough how important season ticket holders are," said Paul.
"We regard our season ticket holders as major stakeholders and a strong season ticket holder base gives us a platform moving into a new season and it enables us to support the playing squad with some confidence.Â
"We are looking to make the package even more attractive next season. As well as the saving of 6 or 7 games and priority for cup matches we also want to provide more engagement with season ticket holders such as special events and the first one of those will be the open day when they can come along before anyone else.
"I hope during the course of next season, when we do events, then we can run discounted tickets for season ticket holders to make them feel more loved. I do think over the last few years they may have been taken for granted but one of the big things going forward that we must learn is that we must engage with the supporters better from the top down."
The 2013-14 season was a disappointing one but Mark Yates has already started to make signings ahead of the new season with a fresh squad ready to kick off in pre-season.
Paul Baker and the board of directors are hoping that fresh changes across the club will have a positive effect and he even admitted that he and Mark will be on the telephone this evening speaking to season ticket holders yet to renew.
"We did a bit of ringing around last year and it was well received," he added.
"I'm hoping that between Mark and I we will be able to persuade a few people to renew if they weren't going to otherwise. There might even be a bit of friendly competition tonight between Mark and I and indeed other members of the staff who will also be on the phones.
"Let's hope we can persuade a few people that an investment in a season ticket could be a really good purchase for the coming season. It's easy to support a team when they are doing well and it's obviously not so easy when things aren't going so well but it's about looking forward now and I hope the fans can see that we are trying to engage with them and we are making changes. I hope supporters will see that we are making a real effort and in turn I hope they make a real effort to support the club."
We are pleased to say that the '£25 Introduce A Friend' scheme has worked really well and the ticket office staff have been hard at work all week. We would like to thank all supporters who have already renewed their season tickets or who have indeed become season ticket holders for the very first time.
If you are planning on purchasing a 2014-15 season ticket then please try and get to the ticket office before 6pm on Friday to make massive savings here at Whaddon Road. Standard season ticket pricing will return following the early bird deadline.
