The Robins will face Cinderford Town in a pre-season friendly ahead of the 2014-15 season.
Cheltenham Town will take on Cinderford Town in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday 23 July (7.45pm kick-off).This will be the first time both clubs have gone head to head since 2011 when the Robins ran out 3-2 victors in a County Cup match. The last pre-season friendly between the two clubs as the Causeway was in 2005 and Cheltenham Town won that meeting with a 6-1 scoreline.

Cinderford Town, founded in 1922, are based in the Forest of Dean and are currently managed by former Robins player and Centre of Excellence manager John Brough. They play their football in the Calor League Division One South & West and finished 15th last season. Links between the clubs include Keiran Thomas who is a current player at Cinderford Town and a former Cheltenham Town academy prospect. Another link is that of Dave Bird who recently retired from his football career after a spell with Cinderford. 'Birdy' made close to 300 appearances for the Robins before departing the club in 2012.
