2013-14 Cheltenham Town Retained List

Mark Yates has made a firm decision on players out of contract as he begins to plan for next season.

Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates has made firm decisions as he prepares for the 2014-15 season.

Four senior players have been released with their contracts coming to an end with only Scott Brown, Steve Elliott, Joe Hanks and Jermaine McGlashan offered new contracts here at Whaddon Road. Steve Elliott's contract offer is to be a player/coach working alongside the manager and the backroom staff.

Seven senior players have contracts ready for next season and four second year scholars have of course been offered professional contracts as revealed on last month.

Jason Taylor is under contract for next season but he has been placed on the transfer list with immediate effect.

All players were spoken to earlier today at the training ground except for Jamie Cureton. The veteran striker is on a course and will meet with Mark Yates later today. Connor Roberts has also been spoken to but a decision will be made at a later date about the Welsh U21 international.

The 2014-15 retained list is as follows:

Senior players released: Sido Jombati | Sam Deering | Ed Williams | Ashley Vincent

Senior players transfer listed: Jason Taylor
