Mark Yates believes his Cheltenham side got what they deserved after coming from a goal down to beat Bury.
Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates speaking to the media following the 2-1 victory against Bury:"We deserved the win today, we won that for Neil Howarth's son, Happy Birthday to him.
"I don't think Scott Brown had a shot to save, Nardiello got in behind us on one occasion but they play a system where they can get on the ball.Â
"I thought we stuck at it well today, the reason we won is because of the way we reacted to going a goal behind.Â
"It was a poor goal to concede, we should have done better but to go and score so quickly tells me a lot about the players and I'm happy for them.
"We cleared the air Wednesday morning (after the Chesterfield defeat) and the boys showed they've got spirit and that they're collectively a good unit.
"I think we got what we deserved and in the last 10-15 minutes we were a big threat. When Byron (Harrison) came on he made a huge difference.
"Ashley Vincent was good throughout, it was his third game in a week and I always felt that when it came to the top of the pitch that he might be able to nick something. He's lively and he sees things so we kept him on a bit longer than I probably wanted to but Zack did well when he came on.
"There were lots of good things today and hopefully everyone's that little bit happier.
"There are still things we need to improve on, we're not kidding ourselves. I thought we started a little bit slow but we got more and more into the game as it went on.Â
"There's 13 games to go and we've got a tough one next week away at Portsmouth. We're looking forward to a game in front of a noisy crowd, and with a big atmosphere but that's something we've got to deal with.
"We've shown we can do that and hopefully we'll have a good week."
