Wycombe Rewind

18 March 2014

We take you back to November when the Robins last faced Wycombe Wanderers in League Two action.

Another game against a side battling against the relegation tide this evening but Wycombe will be no pushovers.

The Chairboys have picked up several good results over the last few weeks and the Robins can expect a tough encounter despite Gareth Ainsworth's side being well beaten at York at the weekend.

For Cheltenham however it is four games unbeaten and they will be boosted by fond memories of their last game against Wycombe Wanderers in this division. The November away day at Adams Park this season ended with a 2-1 win for Mark Yates' Robins.

The first half ended all square in a game that had seen little action but Jamie Cureton's tidy finish after 56 minutes gave Cheltenham Town the foundation they needed to construct a victory. That lead did disappear however when Matt McClure equalised just ten minutes later.

The travelling Robins support however needn't have worried because a deflected cross from Sam Deering off the boot of Billy Knott snatched the lead back in Cheltenham's favour and they held on to record a big three points.
