The pictures from Tuesday's 2-0 loss at home to Scunthorpe United.

Cheltenham Town lost out to promotion hunters Scunthorpe United on Tuesday night in a game that ended 2-0.

The Iron equalled a 125 year record by reaching 23 games unbeaten under the guidance of Russ Wilcox who has not lost once in the league since taking over as manager. Scunthorpe were perhaps the less effective side in the first half however with Cheltenham carving out the better chances in front of goal but a soft freekick allowed the visitors to pump the ball into the box and form strike Sam Winnall needed just one chance to make it 1-0.

That goal was a blow for the Robins but they started the second half well only for Sam Winnall to once again pounce upon an opportunity from yet another soft freekick and put his side 2-0 up and in control.

Cheltenham rarely threatened to get themselves back into the game and the three points were packed and headed back up North. The Robins now face a long trip to Hartlepool looking to break a run of two defeats.
