The Robins rewarded their loyal followers with a 1-0 win over Hartlepool United on the biggest away day of the season.
104 Cheltenham Town fans made the journey to cheer on their team and they went home happy with Jermaine McGlashan's second half winner taking all three points from a cold Victoria Park.
The first half had been an even affair but Hartlepool were perhaps the better team with a confident passing display threatening the Robins backline from time to time. Despite the possession they failed to really test Scott Brown and Cheltenham soon took advantage.
Mark Yates' team had a spring in their step from the word go in the second half and Billy Daniels came close to scoring on his debut only to see his lashed effort come off the upright. Byron Harrison had a decent shout for a penalty waved away by the referee only for Sido Jombati to loop the ball back in towards the back post and Jermaine McGlashan arrived in time to thump it into the back of the net with a goal that went on to win the game and send the Robins home happy.
