Spring Clean at CTFC

12 June 2014

Volunteer at your local club to help get it ship shape before the start of the season

Cheltenham Town FC alongside the Robins Trust are urging loyal CTFC fans to come to Whaddon Road to help in our efforts to give the stadium a 'spring clean' before the gates open again for the new season.

Starting from this coming Sunday 15th June at 10am and for the next 3 Sundays after, the club will be meeting at the ground to get to work weeding, rubbish clearing, sweeping, cleaning and painting and all the other jobs in between!

If you would like to be a part of the efforts, please just show up at Whaddon Road from 10am on Sunday armed with whatever you deem necessary to tidy up the stadium.

The Chairman, Paul Baker, is enthused by the plans: "I am delighted that the Robins Trust are taking a lead role in this year's ground 'Spring Clean'. There is lots to be done, so we need as many volunteers as possible. Please come on down if you can spare a few hours. We want to make it fun too so there is a free beer on the Chairman at the end of the first session - and possibly the others too!"

Clive Gowing, Robins Trust said: "We are urging fans to come down and help in this years ground spring clean. Part of the recent focus groups included discussions regarding the ground and this is our chance to be part of the season ahead. We want to make this event both fun and productive. Bring the whole family along or come and help out whilst discussing the season ahead!"

Further details about the specifics of the project will be available shortly.
