Cheltenham Town recorded their first pre-season friendly win of the summer with a 1-0 victory over Bristol Rovers.
Our Conference opponents had a bright start to the game but Cheltenham soon won the midfield battle and were largely dominant for the remainder of the fixture. It took a wonder goal from Byron Harrison in the 73rd minute however to break the deadlock and hand the Robins a deserved win.
There were plenty of chances throughout the game for Asa Hall, Lee Vaughan, Andy Haworth and Omari Sterling-James but Mark Yates will have been happy with the performance he saw ahead of the Leamington away friendly on Friday.
