The second pre-season friendly of the summer ended with a 1-1 draw away at near-neighbours Evesham United this weekend.
The Robins were minutes away from a 1-0 defeat but excellent work from Lee Vaughan on the right wing created a goalscoring opportunity and Andy Haworth could not have missed at the far post. His finish earned a draw but it was a good work-out for a Cheltenham side full of trialists and young professionals.
Evesham had started the afternoon on the front foot and Edenborough's headed finish in the 8th minute handed his side a lead that they would hold for the majority of the game. Chances for Jamie Cureton, Jack Deaman and Omari Sterling-James couldn't be capitalised on but Andy Haworth's last gasp finish certainly put a gloss on what was an enjoyable pre-season friendly.
