The home friendly versus West Brom has been cancelled and Bristol Rovers will now face the Robins.
The upcoming home friendly versus West Bromwich Albion (Tuesday 15 July) has been cancelled and will be replaced with a fixture against Bristol Rovers.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, next Tuesday’s pre-season friendly against West Bromwich Albion has been postponed. This was due to a change of pre-season plans by the West Brom management. In place of this fixture we can now confirm that a home match has been arranged against Bristol Rovers, who will be travelling back from a pre-season training camp in South Wales on that day. The Bristol Rovers match will therefore take place on Tuesday 15 July with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Rovers were relegated into the Conference back in May and will take on the Robins here at Whaddon Road on the way back home from a training camp in Wales. They are now managed by former Salisbury City manager Darrell Clarke who is tasked with the mission of returning the club back to the Football League.
Tickets prices for this fixture will match those of other home pre-season friendlies: Adults £10 | Concessions & Juniors £5
The last meeting between ourselves and Rovers came back in February at the Memorial Stadium. Rovers won that game 1-0 with a John-Joe O'Toole goals winning the game on the 34th minute.
