Everyone at Cheltenham Town would like to congratulate Severnvale School on their Girls Cup success.
Everyone here at Cheltenham Town FC would like to congratulate Severnvale School, for winning their Football League Girls Cup Area Final hosted by Exeter City last week.Â
The girls saw off other local final winners, with schools from Yeovil, Bristol & Torquay competing among others.Â
Robins Development officer Olly Roberts went along with the school, helping them to victory and he believes the girls deserved their success.Â
"The performances and effort shown by the girls was outstanding!
"They really deserved to win and it’s the first time the school that we have been representing have made it this far. I hope they go all the way!"Â
The girls team manager, and teacher, at Severnvale is Jacqueline Haines, who has done some great things with the girls football at the school.
All the girls received pennants on the day and an Area Final winning trophy is being sent direct to the school as part of their prize. They will now go through to the Girls Cup Southern Regional Final which will be hosted at Watford, on the 11th of February.
We all wish them the best of luck on the day and, if they are successful once again, then we will be supporting them on their way to Wembley!
