Media Role Available

20 January 2014

A voluntary position in the media & youth department has become available.

Cheltenham Town are actively looking for a volunteer to help strengthen the media department's coverage on the Robins Academy.

The position is open for a young enthusiastic individual looking to strengthen their CV and work within the Youth Academy in an effort to heighten their coverage through the club's official media channels.

The role is not a full time job but it does offer fantastic experience for anyone looking to get involved and build skills. The individual would work under Head of Youth Russell Milton and club media and communications officer James Brown.

"I want to strengthen our coverage of the Academy going forward," said James.

"At the moment I am a one man department so it's very difficult to give the Academy the coverage they deserve especially with recent successes. Russell and I had a conversation not too long ago about possibly bringing in a volunteer to work with the youth team and it would be a great opportunity for anyone looking to strengthen their CV.

"I started at this club as a volunteer and it really was a fantastic experience so hopefully we can offer much to a young person looking to build on their strengths."

Anyone wanting to take on the role would need access to a car and would work alongside the Youth Department. Jobs would include reporting on youth home games on a Saturday morning, interviewing and uploading youth player interviews as well as helping to cover reserve games if possible.

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity then please contact James Brown on james.brown@ctfc.com and please include any prior experience and an example of previous written work.
