Mark Up For Award

7 January 2014

Robins chief Mark Yates has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League 2 manager of the month award.

Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates has been nominated as one of four manager of the month candidates for December.

The Robins have recently been on an 11 league match unbeaten run following a stuttering start to the 2013-14 league campaign but the turnaround in form has been a big achievement and one in which Mark has been recognised for.

Mark has been nominated alongside Gary Rowett (Burton Albion), Justin Edinburgh (Newport County) and Russ Wilcox (Scunthorpe United.

Cheltenham's huge run of form came to an end at home to Mansfield in the final match of 2013 and Mark Yates hasn't had the chance the bounce back from that result with the two previous fixtures (Bristol Rovers A and Chesterfield H) being called off due to waterlogged pitches.

The winner of this manager of the month award will be announced live on Sky Sports News on Friday and if Mark is successful then we will bring you news here on
