New loan signing Michael Ihiekwe has been talking to www.ctfc.com this week.
Robins manager Mark Yates had to react quickly last week when Connor Goldson was recalled back to Shrewsbury Town just days after signing a loan extension.
Connor's departure meant a phonecall to Kenny Jackett at Wolverhampton Wanderers and young prospect Michael Ihiekwe was quickly summoned and linked up with his new team-mates on an initial one month loan deal.
Michael, 21, is Wolves' U21 captain and has numerous games under his belt in that league but the young defender told www.ctfc.com that he eager to gain first team experience in the Football League.
"I'm buzzing," he smiled.
"Obviously I haven't been on loan before so this is my first time and I'm hoping to get some first team football here. I want to get some league games under my belt because I've been playing reserve football over the past few years and now I want to take that next step and get some experience."
Michael was of course placed straight into the team by Mark Yates for the trip to Burton Albion and he watched on from the bench as his new team-mates slipped to a 2-1 loss at the Pirelli Stadium.
An unused substitute he may have been but Michael was pleased to be part of a first team setup again and he believes many positives can be taken from the performance at the weekend despite the end result of a loss.
"Obviously once I came I did my research and I have only heard good things (about Cheltenham Town)," he explained.
"It wasn't a bad performance at all and I thought we were in the game until the last 15 minutes obviously with those two goals but we could have easily won the game.
"I thought it was even and there is definitely a platform there to move forward."
