Meg Up For Award

13 February 2014

Commercial assistant Meg Lancaster has been shortlisted for the Female Apprentice of the Year award.

Our very own Meg Lancaster has been nominated for the Female Apprentice of the Year award in the upcoming Women in Business Awards 2014.

Meg, 21, is a student of the University of the West of England and joined us back in July 2013 for a year long internship working alongside Marie Carter in the Commercial Department.

Since linking up with the Robins commercial team, Meg has dealt with conferencing, sponsorship, networking as well as spearheading the new look Junior Robins scheme which now has almost 800 children signed up from around Gloucestershire.

"We are delighted that Meg has been selected as finalist in the Gloucestershire Women in Business Awards," said Commercial & Marketing manager Marie Carter.

"It is fantastic to have the Apprentice Category, giving young women the chance to shine at an early stage of their careers. Cheltenham Town Commercial & Marketing Department has benefitted hugely from having Meg on her year out from University.

"At the same time Meg has had first hand experience working in a small team in a large business! I wish her every success in winning the award but even to be shortlisted is a great achievement. I am really proud to have her as part of my team at CTFC."

The award ceremony will take place on the 20th March at Hatherley Manor Hotel and is run by Gloucestershire Media.
