The Robins will have to wait for their first win of 2014 with neither team breaking the deadlock away at Bootham Crescent this weekend.
York hosted Cheltenham Town in Sky Bet League 2 this weekend with both Keith Lowe and Russ Penn in their starting line-up but the first half was largely an uneventful 45 minutes. Several yellow cards were shown but York had the best of opportunities when Scott Brown had to scramble to save a low freekick aimed at the bottom corner of his goal and he was on hand to make another save seconds later with the York striker shooting from close range on the rebound.
The second half was much more open and a better game for the fans to witness but Scott Brown had to be on hand again to make a good save from Josh Carson's thunderous freekick. Cheltenham improved with the introduction of Sam Deering and Terry Gornell but the duo couldn't force an opener and neither could late substitute Zack Kotwica. The result ended as a stalemate which proved to be a fair result all round.
