Shane Duff is raising money for Prostate Cancer UK with a bike ride from London to Amsterdam.
This weekend we will show our support for Prostate Cancer UK but Shane Duff is taking his support of the fantastic cause to a whole new level.
The former Robins captain has volunteered to be a part of the London to Amsterdam cycle ride in aid of the charity between 6-8 June 2014. Shane will be donning his cycle helmet along with Luther Blissett and every volunteers of every Football League club to take part in the trek and raise money for PCUK.
“I’m taking on the challenge and it’ll give me something to train for,” said Shane.
“Prostate Cancer UK are the chosen charity for the Football League this year and to raise money a bike ride is being held which will run from London to Amsterdam in June. All 72 Football League clubs are going to be involved and I have been asked to represent Cheltenham Town – a good idea or not, I don’t know!
“It should be good fun and it will raise some big money for a very good cause. If the Cheltenham Town supporters can help me raise money through the JustGiving page then that would be fantastic. It doesn’t have to be much but every little helps!”
Shane is aiming to raise £1,200 and will be using a JustGiving page online to raise money from Cheltenham fans, sponsors and friends.
