Cheltenham Town had to remain patient but their deserved victory came on the 90th minute courtesy of super sub Koby Arthur.The first half offered little threat in front of goal from either side but the second half was a major improvement and the introductions of Koby Arthur, Omari Sterling-James and debutant John Marquis were enough to turn the tide.
Millwall loanee Marquis hit the base of the post soon after coming on and he also forced Scott Flinders into a fantastic save onto the bar with a thumping header. It was however the growing influence of Koby Arthur that stole the headlines though in the final minute of normal time. A long throw was flicked on and the Birmingham loanee leaped high to head past Flinders in the Hartlepool goal setting off the celebrations within Whaddon Road.
Cheltenham Town are still unbeaten a month into the new season and safe in the knowledge that they have made their best start to a season for 20 years.
