A young Robins XI secured a 2-2 draw away at Redditch despite trailing for much of the game.The Cheltenham side had started well with several chances for the likes of Jack Deaman and Harry Williams but a clumsy foul by Omari Sterling-James handed Redditch an opportunity and it was one they took with Sammons scoring from the spot despite Harry Reynolds' best efforts.
Redditch had doubled their lead soon after the break when Jack Deaman's poor back pass put former trialist Jermaine Hylton through on goal and the striker rounded Reynolds before neatly slipping the ball into the back of the net. At times the Robins needed to rely on a solid peformance from the impressive Reynolds between the sticks but Harry Williams did grab a goal back through a deflected strike. Adam Powell secured an equaliser soon after with a stunning chip to record a 2-2 draw away at Southern League side Redditch.
