Check out the best images from this weekend's 1-0 victory over Bury.

Cheltenham Town secured all three points on the opening day of the 2014-15 season away at Bury this weekend.

The Robins had gone into the game as underdogs with Bury manager David Flitcroft speaking confidently of his team's chances ahead of the game but Mark Yates' side put in an inspired performance to claim victory and a clean sheet from the JD Stadium.

An early setback for the Robins saw Asa Hall withdrawn with a calf injury but the introduction of Joe Hank was to have a telling impact on the entire game. Bury were potent in the early stages but the Robins were harshly denied an opening goal when Matt Taylor's headed goal was ruled out for a foul although it looks as though two Bury defenders collided with eachother. Joe Hanks had seen his own chance minutes before well saved but the youngster didn't have to wait too much longer before picking the ball up on the outside of the area and dispatching a wonderful strike past Jalal in the Bury goal.

Cheltenham continued to show great energy and determination in the second half despite increased pressure from Bury. Both Matt Richards and Trevor Carson made telling contributions to denying a Bury equaliser but it was the defence that Mark Yates will have been most pleased with his three central defenders rarely putting a foot wrong.

The Robins held on to record victory but deservingly so as 2014-15 gets underway.
