The Robins dropped out of the Capital One Cup after a 2-0 loss away at Brighton & Hove Albion.The Championship side dominated possession as Mark Yates expected but they had to wait until the 79th minute before they could break down a hard-working and resillient Robins defence.
Lewis Dunk's header have Brighton the lead they desperately needed and Craig Mackail-Smith doubled that lead on 90 minutes to hand his side victory and progression into the second round. Cheltenham had their chances and there were many strong individual performances but Mark Yates will now be keen to return to winning ways this weekend at home to Accrington Stanley.
