Two Cheltenham Town youth players were in action last night.

Two young Cheltenham Town prospects were in action last night for Bishop's Cleeve FC.

Both Harvey Rivers and Elliott Keightley were named in Cleeve's starting XI by John Brough to face Taunton Town at home but it proved to be a forgetful night for the youngsters and their team.

Young goalkeeper Harvey Rivers was sent off in the 20th minute after bringing down the Taunton striker in the box and the penalty was converted to level to scores at 1-1. Cleeve went on to lose 3-1 despite a decent performance in the defence by Robins youngster Elliott Keightley who went on to play 90 minutes.

In other news, former Robins player and head of youth John Brough resigned from his post as Bishop's Cleeve manager to become the manager of Cinderford Town assisted by another former Robin, Dave Bird.

The rest of the Cheltenham Town youth team, with a couple of first teamers, will face Forest Green in the quarter finals of the County Cup away at Forest Green Rovers this evening (7pm).

Confirmed Robins XI for tonight's County Cup match: Roberts (GK); Craddock, Hamilton, Rowe, Shepphard; Kotwica, Powell, Daly, Bowen; Dale, Lawrence

Substitutes: H. Reynolds (GK), D. Reynolds, McFarlane, Goodwin

A report from tonight's game will be available following the full time whistle this evening and there will also be key updated on the official Twitter account (@CTFCofficial)
