Joint Favourites This Weekend

4 April 2014

We bring you the best odds and tips available to you on Sky Bet ahead of this weekend.

Southend arrive this weekend still in the play-off hunt but can the Robins upset their promotion campaign?

Phil Brown's Shrimpers side have not conceded a single goal in their last four games and they have won their last two including an emphatic win over the play-off rivals Oxford United.

Both ourselves and Southend are given odds of 13/8 to win the game with this weekend with Sky Bet finding it hard to seperate the two teams. A draw is currently worth 23/10.

Cheltenham Town visited Southend's Roots Hall in November for the away fixture and a Matt Richards' last gasp penalty strike sealed a point for Mark Yates' team. Southend had taken the lead but Cheltenham were well worth a point in the end. A 1-1 draw on this occasion will give you odds of  9/2 but if you're backing the Robins to go one step further then a 2-1 winning scoreline will fetch odds of 9/1. Cheltenham's last win at home to Southend was back in December 2011 and that 3-0 scoreline is worth 28/1 for any positive and ambitious fans out there.

Matt Richards' penalty strike was a well deserved boost for the Robins back in November and if you think the midfielder can hit the back of the net again on this occasion then he has attractive odds of 10/1 to score first. New loan signing Billy Daniels came close last weekend at Hartlepool though and he is 11/4 to score at any point in the game.

There are some great odds right now on Sky Bet but we have picked out a few more which could represent great value ahead of the game on Saturday:

- A 1-1, 2-2 or 3-3 scoreline? 7/2
- Byron Harrison to score a brace? 9/1
- Both Jamie Cureton and Freddy Eastwood to score? 15/2

Our bet of the weekend however will be Troy Brown to score first and Cheltenham Town to run out 2-1 winners which is worth 85/1 on Sky Bet. If you do take on our challenge, and if you are successful, then send proof of your winning bet to the media department (james.brown@ctfc.com) and you could win 2 match tickets to a future Cheltenham Town home fixture. We will need proof of the winning bet AND you must of course be a customer of Sky Bet having used the URL: www.skybet.com/cheltenham.
