Harry Makes Full Debut

14 April 2014

Cheltenham born Harry Williams made his full debut for the Robins on Saturday.

Young attacking midfielder Harry Williams made his full debut for the Robins at the weekend.

The 18 year-old was told on Friday afternoon by manager Mark Yates that he was going to be in the starting eleven away at Exeter starting on the point of a diamond midfield and he went on the play an hour before being substituted.

Harry is one of a few youth prospects impressing behind the scenes and the Cheltenham-born youngster admitted he was excited to have made a full debut for his hometown club.

"It was good and I was buzzing when I heard the news," said Harry.

"It wasn't one of my better games and I didn't get into enough pockets but we got a point which was important and now we move onto the next game.

"It was a great moment for me and I am very proud of it but hopefully it won't be the last time!"

Williams has scored 38 goals in total in both youth and reserve fixtures this season and his weekend appearance was his second in the professional game. His debut came as as a substitute versus Morecambe back in October.

You can watch Harry and his team-mates in action on Good Friday at home to Fleetwood Town (3pm). Click here to buy tickets online.
