Daniels: Aiming For Impact

4 April 2014

New loan signing Billy Daniels is aiming to make a big impact whilst on loan with the Robins.

New loan signing Billy Daniels certainly made an impact last weekend but he hopes to do the same again at home tomorrow.

The 19 year-old Coventry City loanee joined on loan deadline day and made his debut just days later away at Hartlepool where he came so close to a perfect start to life as a Cheltenham Town player.

Billy's position at the top of the diamond was a constant problem for Hartlepool United and he struck the woodwork not long after half time to increase Cheltenham's control.

That performance was off the back of just one training session with his new team-mates so Billy is hoping that his week at the training ground will help him make the impact he desires.

“We had a little training session in Chesterfield on Friday to prepare us for the game so that gave me the chance to get to know a few of the boys,” he said.

“The lads have been good and have made me feel welcome. I’m not here for long so I want to enjoy it and get to know everybody as quick as possible.

“Hopefully I can push on from here and make an impact.”

If selected then it will of course be Billy's home debut and an instant impact at the home of Cheltenham Town will almost certainly win the crowd over in a tough match versus Southend United.

For Billy though it won't all be completely new because he had in fact already played at Whaddon Road this season.

“I played at Whaddon Road for Coventry in pre-season!" he smiled.

“It’s a great little stadium and the pitch is nice too so we I hope we can grab all three points and push ourselves up the division."

You can read Billy's full interview in this weekend's matchday programme, priced at £3, which will be available in all four corners of the stadium on matchday.
