Junior Robins Hit 500

30 September 2013

Aidan Hawksworth was our 500th Junior Robin and the numbers are still growing!

The Junior Robins hit 500 last week and the membership numbers continue to grow following the 1-0 win at home to AFC Wimbledon.

Aidan Hawksworth, 7, became the 500th member of the very popular Junior Robins scheme which is aimed at introducing children to their local football club at an early age. Junior school aged children can sign up to the Junior Robins for FREE and watch every league game here at the Abbey Business Stadium for FREE. Click here for more information on the Junior Robins.

Young Aidan was named as mascot for the day as a reward for becoming our 500th Junior Robin and he got to meet Robins defender Craig Braham-Barrett ahead of kick off before being handed his Junior Robins membership card and free Cheltenham Town water bottle. Aidan is a pupil at Norton C of E Primary School in Gloucester and plays as a goalkeeper for FC Lakeside. Our 500th Junior Robin has been an avid football fan since supporting Team GB in the 2012 Olympics and is now a big supporter of the Robins. His favourite players are Scott Brown and Jermaine McGlashan!

Cheltenham Town beat Wimbledon 1-0 courtesy of a 94th minute Jamie Cureton goal and the numbers of Junior Robins have once again escalated to just under 550 following that result.

If your child is aged 11 and under and at Junior School age then please check out our Junior Robins page where you can download an application form and introduce your child to Cheltenham Town with FREE league football.
