Check out the best images from last night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash v. Plymouth.

It was penalty heartache for the Robins as they dropped out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Terry Gornell saw his penalty saved by Plymouth goalkeeper Jake Cole and Marvin Morgan won the game for the Pilgrims with his spot kick. Disappointment for Mark Yates' players but overall a much more positive performance with a fiery comeback confirming team spirit was still in full flow.

The evening had begun so well for Cheltenham with Steven Gillespie snatching an early lead but two goals were conceded in quick succession and the Robins were stunned. Half time came and new signing David Noble was introduced but it didn't stop the Pilgrims extending their lead through new signing Hamza Bencherif. The Robins wouldn't roll over however and they soon won a penalty with Plymouth going down to two men when Nelson received his marching orders for a foul on Gillespie. The Fleetwood loanee saw his spot kick well saved but he made no mistake on the rebound. Jason Taylor grabbed his second goal of the season to draw both teams level but, despite heavy pressure, Cheltenham were unable to win the game.

With the scores level a penalty shoot-out commenced and both sides delivered strong spot kicks but Terry Gornell had his penalty saved leaving Marvin Morgan the opportunity to win the game for his club and the big striker duly delivered.
