Sky Bet look at the ever-changing odds in the promotion race and Cheltenham's clash v. Morecambe this evening.

The Sky Bet League 2 promotion race is looking increasing wide open after leaders Chesterfield were beaten 2-0 by Burton.

They are now joined on 23 points by Rochdale after Ian Henderson scored a late brace to earn a 2-1 victory here at the Abbey Business Stadium, which sees their odds on going up cut from 11/4 to 5/2.

Over half of the division are currently considered single-figure odds with Sky Bet in a market headed by the Spireites, who are closely followed by Fleetwood.

The Cod Army also failed to boost their title credentials as they lost 2-0 on Friday night at Southend, who are now 6/1 to be playing Sky Bet League 1 football next season.

Exeter arguably put in the performance of the weekend as they ended Scunthorpe’s six-match unbeaten run with an emphatic 4-0 victory at Glanford Park.

That result has seen the Grecians’ promotion odds cut from 9/2 to 7/2, the same price as their defeated hosts, while they are 3/1 to strengthen their place in the top three with a win at fourth-placed Oxford on Tuesday night.

Indeed, odds were defied throughout the division on Saturday with only three home teams recording victories.

Sky Bet promotion odds:
Chesterfield 4/9
Fleetwood 8/15
Oxford 2/1
Rochdale 5/2
Portsmouth 5/2
Scunthorpe 7/2
Exeter 7/2
Burton Albion 9/2
Mansfield 9/2
Newport County 6/1
Southend 6/1
Morecambe 7/1
Wycombe 8/1

Cheltenham Town on the other hand will only be looking towards their clash at home to Morecambe as they look to put a dismal weekend behind them. There are decent odds available on a Cheltenham Town win tonight and another tight game could be on the cards. A 2-1 victory for the Robins tonight provides odds of 8/1 and Byron Harrison stands at 7/1 to grab the first goal this evening. If you are feeling positive tonight then our bet of the night would be for Terry Gornell to score and for the Robins to win coupled at 3/1.
