A vital win and a major milestone was the story of the day as Cheltenham Town beat Dag & Red 2-1 at Victoria Road this weekend.
The pressure was on the Robins to realise their potential and Jamie Cureton took centre stage with a stunning first half strike that handed Cheltenham the lead and recorded his 250th career goal. The Daggers weren't about to roll over however and they equalised soon after through their captain Ogogo.
Cheltenham started the second half well and produced the perfect response with Keith Lowe's headed finish from close range to reclaim the lead. That goal would go on to win the game but it took a strong defensive performance and heroics from Scott Brown to deny the hosts a way back into the game. Three points were huge for the Robins and deserved elation for a new goalscoring hero capturing the imagination of the Cheltenham fans home and away.
