Toby Ajala Joins Cheltenham On Loan

28 November 2013

Bristol City winger Toby Ajala has linked up with Mark Yates' Robins squad on loan.

Cheltenham Town have snapped up Bristol City's Toby Ajala on loan this afternoon.

The Bristol City winger has joined the Robins in an emergency loan which will run until January 4th and he has been handed squad number 26 by Mark Yates.

"Toby will certainly give us another option," said Mark.

"He can play out on the wing as well as up front and he will certainly add to the options we have in those positions. He has pace and great attacking intent."

Toby, 22, is a quick winger who has made 2 substitute appearances for his parent club since being snapped up from Hayes & Yeading. He started his youth career with Home Farm in Dublin but his senior career was kicked off at Ilford in 2008. He had a trial with Doncaster Rovers before being signed up by Hull City but the winger never made a first team appearance for the Tigers.

He made ten appearances for Hayes & Yeading before Bristol City offered him a deal and since then he has had a loan spell out at AFC Wimbledon where he made 13 appearances in all competitions. He now joins the Robins on loan in the hunt for first team football.
