The Cheltenham Town youth team thrashed VCD Athletic 7-1 to book their spot in the FA Youth Cup second round.
First half goals from Bobbie Dale (2) and Zack Kotwica set the tone for the afternoon with VCD Athletic taking a backseat as Russel Milton's young Robins put on a show. Bobbie Dale could have had a hat trick in the first period had he struck a penalty kick with more venom than he had. 3-0 at half time though and Cheltenham were in control.
The young Robins didn't slow down in the second half however and goals from Zack Kotwica (2 & hat trick), Bobbie Dale (hat trick) and Harry Williams confirmed seventh heaven. VCD Athletic were much better in the secnd half and their goalkeeper was very good. The visitors from Kent even got themselves a consolation goal just ahead of 90 minutes but the result here was never in doubt and now Russell Milton leads his young Robins into the second round versus Bury Town.
