Male fundraisers will be raising money in aid of Cancer Research in August.
Male fundraisers and their supporters will be flocking to Plock Court on Sunday 11th August 2013 to run in memory of loved ones lost to Cancer.
It is hoped, that this the 5th Race 4 Men event will raise over ÂŁ20,000 for Cancer Research UK, and will raise awareness of all cancer. Cheltenham Town supporters who are interested in taking part should head to www.race4menglos.co.uk to register their interest and the event is open for new runners as well as seasoned pros.
Chairman Ashley Shepherd explained: "You may have heard of the ladies race for life event, well this event is the male equivalent, so chaps this is your opportunity to show us that you can do as well as the ladies!Â
"We would like to invite men and boys of all ages to take part. Â Whether you would like to remember a loved one or would just like to raise life saving funds and awareness, as long as you can run, jog or walk 5k, you are welcome to take part! Â This is a family fun day with many activities for all the family to enjoy. I am a cancer survivor, having been treated for prostate cancer in 2010 and I would love as many people to join us, raising as much sponsorship as you can for this great cause which is making a difference to families across Gloucestershire and beyond."
Rachel Brockie, Cancer Research UK’s Fundraising Manager for Gloucestershire, said: “We are absolutely delighted that the volunteers from the Gloucester Local Committee are staging the Race4Men event in Gloucester for Cancer Research UK once again.” Â
