Numbers of Junior Robins are on the rise following the introduction of free league football for kids.
The number of Junior Robins has almost doubled since the announcement of free league football for children aged 11 and under in 2013-14.
Children aged 11 and under will be able to watch League Two football for FREE in 2013-14 when they join the Junior Robins scheme and the reaction has been tremendous with more children than ever signing up to the scheme.
Almost 200 children have already signed up to the scheme at this very early stage but we expect those numbers to continue to rise as we march towards the new campaign.
As a further incentive, we can also announce that children signed up to the Junior Robins will also gain free entry to the home pre-season friendlies versus Premier League side Cardiff City and League One team Coventry City.
One of the major positives of the new scheme has been that it has attracted members from all corners of the county including Gloucester, Worcester, Tewkesbury and Stroud. Lots of children are signing up with their siblings and there has been a strong reaction from local schools in the area too.
"The initial reaction to the new-look Junior Robins scheme has been tremendous," said Marketing Manager, Marie Carter.
"There was a real brainstorm during the summer about how we could attract children and families to the Abbey Business Stadium and the growth of numbers compared to last season has been a real bonus. Inspiring the next generation of Cheltenham supporters is key and we expect the numbers to keep rising."
All Junior Robins will receive 2013-14 membership cards too and they are starting to be sent out right now so don't miss out on what is a fantastic opportunity to get your children involved with Cheltenham Town Football Club.
