In Pictures: Robins 1, Everton 5

8 January 2013

Check out the best images from the FA Cup clash with Premier League giants Everton.

The Robins lost out to Premier League side Everton in the FA Cup third round but the 5-1 scoreline was perhaps a harsh reflection on what was a good performance.

Cheltenham more than matched David Moyes' side for much of the game but clinical finishing won the Toffees a place in the fourth round while Mark Yates' squad may now concentrate on their league campaign. Two goals from Nikica Jelavic and Leighton Baines (pen) settled the Premier League side down and Leon Osman's goal just after half time looked to have killed off the Robins. Russ Penn grabbed his first goal of the season to cap off his man of the match performance but Everton struck again through a wonderful finish from Seamus Coleman.

Everton added a fifth through the ever dangerous Marouane Fellaini but the Robins held their heads high at the full time whistle knowing their performance deserved a lot more on a memorable evening.
