Billy Jones has made a young fan's dream come true with a fantastic gesture of goodwill.
Robins left back Billy Jones has made young supporter Cobi Manton's dreams come true this afternoon.Cobi, 10, spent a lot of time in Gloucester Royal hospital over Christmas but unfortunately missed out on the Cheltenham Town visit because of an ear operation. Cobi's mum and dad, Sarah and Lee, tracked down the squad to get a picture and a signed football annual but Billy went one step further.
Each player is given an allocation of tickets to the FA Cup match versus Everton for family but Billy gave his to Cobi and his father as an extra special Christmas present.
"It was a real shame we missed Cobi when he was in hospital so I wanted to do something for him," explained Billy.
"It's not great to be in hospital over Christmas so I thought the tickets might make him smile and help him recover ready for the game. He's a fan so it's great to help and I know he's looking forward to coming to the game with his dad!"
Cobi, who had a serious operation on his ear, was given the all clear by his doctor to attend the big game next week and we hope Cobi enjoys his big day!
