Yates: Bitterly Disappointing

26 February 2013

Mark Yates frustrated with result after very good performance.

Robins manager Mark Yates speaking to the media following this evening's 1-1 draw with Fleetwood:

"We've seen an almost complete performance tonight but we have come away with a point and that is bitterly disappointing. They've hardly had any shots on goal but they've got a goal from one set piece and someone has lost their marker. It is a game we should have won and there was plenty of good stuff but right now I am not the happiest man in the world.

"Of course we can take positives but we needed to win tonight and we have let ourselves down. I thought we were outstanding in the first half and they couldn't get near us. We were in control in the second half but we have switched off for one corner and it has cost us dear.

"We've had some great chances to score but that is just the way our luck is right now. We are drawing far too many games and I understand that but tonight was one we really deserved to win. In the cold light of day we must take positives from it but I don't feel that way right at this moment."
