Keiran Thomas and Michael Gonzalo sent out to receive work experience in non-league.
Cheltenham Town youth players Michael Gonzalo and Kieran Thomas are both heading out on work experience with Chippenham Town and Cinderford Town respectively.
Gonzalo, who plays at centre back, heads to Chippenham for some well-deserved first team experience and the 18 year-old is sure to help the Evo-Stik Premier Division side who currently sit in 16th position.
Thomas, also know at Cheltenham as ‘Pit Bull’, will be sent out to Evo-Stik League Division One side Cinderford Town to gain first team experience and to help them in their relegation battle in which they are currently 8 points above near neighbours Bishop's Cleeve.
Russell Milton, the Centre of Excellence Manager, believes sending both players out on loan was the right decision.
“We just felt it was good for them to go out on loan and to get some experience of men’s football,” Russell said.
“I’m sure they can make a difference to the teams they’re going to and they’ll find it totally different so it will be a good education for both of them.”
