McCullough Extension

21 February 2013

Manchester United youngster Luke McCullough has extended his loan spell with the Robins by a month.

Manchester United's young central defender Luke McCullough has today extended his loan spell with Cheltenham Town.

The young defender will now stay with the Robins for an additional month almost a week after making his professional debut as a substitute in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Aldershot.

Luke, 18, hadn't made an appearance before Steve Elliott was withdrawn with a dead leg last weekend and his debut, both professionally and for Cheltenham, was a memory he is proud of.

"It was good to make my debut and get that out the way," said Luke.

"I obviously want to spend more time on the pitch but I will respect the manager's choices and give it my all whenever given the chance. I did okay for my debut. There were one or two sloppy passes but all in all I think I did quite well.

"I have only been here for a very short time but I have already learnt so much just by being here and I just want to keep learning whilst giving it my all when given the opportunities."
