A stunning last gasp strike robbed Cheltenham Town of all three points last night and secured a vital point for John Ward's Rovers.
It was hard fought game between two sides desperate for maximum points but Bristol Rovers started the strongest and instantly went looking for an opener. The Cheltenham defence stood firm however and it was the Robins that drew first blood through Shaun Harrad right before half time.
Still Rovers continued to push but they were saved by Mildenhall in between the sticks when he made a great save to deny Jermaine McGlashan a goal. The Robins looked to have recorded all three points but, deep into extra time, Oliver Norburn struck a stunning 35 yard strike into the top corner leaving Scott Brown with no chance. The travelling fans rocked the stadium and Cheltenham were left disappointed.
